Know when, why, and how much it cost to hire a Project Manager
Throughout the project, a project manager serves as your representative. Essentially, it is their responsibility to take care of all parts of your build-out on a day-to-day basis, including vendor management, budgeting, and scheduling, and to guarantee that your project is completed on time and on (or under) budget.
At any given time during a project, there are dozens of tasks in action that must be managed in order to maintain your project on track and within budget.
**Note: A construction project manager and a construction manager are not the same thing. The project manager represents you from the start of the project until you move in, whereas the construction manager is only involved in the pre-construction and construction phases.
The project manager is in charge of overseeing the construction manager, as well as the architect, engineers, and any other suppliers engaged in the development of your business. **
Hiring a project manager for your office build-out or remodeling has three distinct benefits.
1. Save you time so you can focus on your business goals.
2. Keep your project on time and on budget.
3. Mitigate any problems that arise.
As early as the site selection process, a project manager can (and should) be enlisted. A project manager can assist you in completely understanding the timing, scope, and costs involved with various prospective venues while assessing if they are ideal for your organization.
